Connect360 - Mac Media on Xbox 360. Yay! →
“Your Xbox 360 is capable of playing back your music and videos and viewing your digital photos. With Connect360, your Mac’s ready to share.” UPDATE:  I have installed and paid for the full version and can happily say that it works as advertised.  I am confused to why certain standard (and apparently acceptable) movies files taken on an old digital camera won’t work, but I...

Arthur C. Clarke Dies at Age of 90 →
First, Gary Gygax, now Arthur C. Clarke.  2008 is not the greatest year for my teenage heros.  Clarke was one of those amazing human beings, not just a writer of science fiction, but a man who lived to influence the world.  This article, although short, is very comprehensive.  I think I’ll go dig out my tattered paperback copy of Rendezvous with Rama and do a little reading.

The Morning Pounces on You From Above
It’s my own fault. I don’t discourage it. Having a cat that is almost as affectionate as a dog is a real treat. Lord Byron (yes, that’s his name and it suits him perfectly) hangs out with me when I work, curls up with me when I’m reading a book, and even follows me around the house as if he’s really interested in what I’m doing. He’s with me now as I...

“I’m not the one who wears the prestige in my family!”
– My response to an old friend who recently told me he was impressed with the number of hits he found when he Googled my name (based on the fact that my wife literally generates 100 times more unique hits then I do).

The Little Laptop That Can
The EeePC… wherein the world of micro-blogging meets the world of micro-laptops Yeah, it’s here! The big brown truck came and delivered (Thanks, Ryan!) my new best, electronic, friend. A snow white EeePC. I’ve decided to use a Tumblr entry to collect together links and other salient bits of information this cool little gadget as I discover them while learning all about my...
