The Little Laptop That Can

The EeePC…

wherein the world of micro-blogging meets the world of micro-laptops

Yeah, it’s here! The big brown truck came and delivered (Thanks, Ryan!) my new best, electronic, friend. A snow white EeePC.

I’ve decided to use a Tumblr entry to collect together links and other salient bits of information this cool little gadget as I discover them while learning all about my new toy tool.

UPDATE:  So I’ve had this little guy now for a month and I am enjoying it immensely.  I’ve found myself using it for three specific purposes.  One is internet radio.  I love internet radio, and although the eeePC is not as convenient as a dedicated player (such as the Squeezebox) its still the same price.  So, you get both a computer and a radio.  I’ve also been enjoying other media, specifically Hulu.  The 7” screen is big enough to comfortably watch for at least a half hour so I can keep up with 30 Rock and the Office.  Finally, it does work really well as a notetaker for meetings (and if you can put up with the side scrolling, web surfing is not that bad).  One surprise, its little speakers sound great!  Much better than the speakers in our $2200 Panasonic laptop.
