Part two in my (now a) series on fortune cookie fortunes presents the passive aggressive fortune cookie fortune.  It’s less of a fortune, and more of a, lets say, snippy little criticism of another culture’s aphorisms.  Obviously trees do reach the sky, so this little fortune is just pointing out (by sharing this clearly erroneous statement) that German proverb writers never go outside and look up.  Which may be true, but do the Chinese fortune writers need to be all up in our face about it?  Couldn’t they be satisfied to just pass on the wisdom of the ages?  Why take a stab at the Germans?  I’ll never understand fortune cookie fortune writers (FTFWs).  Don’t miss out on the greatest fortune cookie fortune ever!
