Fable 2
I have been really enjoying Fable 2, released this week for the Xbox 360 from Lionhead Studios. I played the first Fable earlier this year in preparation for the new version and, although I enjoyed it, I only played it through once and was very aware of its limitations. Fable 2 is very much a more polished and complete game compared to the first, and a lot more fun at that.
Pictured above is my hero, with custom dyed hat, gloves and boots. A lightning-wielding rogue, a good guy to be sure, but mischievous and not above pilfering a bit of gold to get by. Now proud owner of the Bowerstone Market Bookshop, he is, at this moment, on his way to have another sculpture carved with his likeness. His humility knows no bounds.
I’ve played about a third of the game and would highly recommend it. It plays like an interactive fairy tale and is so immersive I have found myself wanting to check my closets and under my bed for hobbes before bed.
Oh, and it does discourage the eating of pie. Poor pie.
