Below is a screen grab of my Fallout 3 character.  One of the great things about this game is the creative freedom it gives you in controlling the type of character — personality, ethics, appearance, etc. — you can play.  In games that allow you to shape the appearance of your character, mine usually have short dark hair, glasses and a goatee.  Not very original, I guess, but I’m still new to these games and get a kick out of putting myself in them.  For Fallout 3, I decided to try the very opposite. I didn’t really know what I was getting into, so I accepted the challenge of pushing the game’s character design to its limits and came up with what you see below; a female, half-asian science geek that’s good with guns.  Its made the game very different from others I’ve played as an exaggerated (ok, very exaggerated) version of myself and perhaps more interesting.
